The terroir
Volcanic soil characterised by volcanic stone and sand, a mixture of structure and elegance.
The vineyard is located in the contrada of "feudo di mezzo" at an altitude of 650 metres.
The territory of Etna is characterised by a microclimate, different from the rest of Sicily, with very wide temperature ranges that help to establish a perfect ripening of the grapes.
Terroir
The grape variety
The grape variety is Nerello Mascalese, an autochthonous variety of the region, and it is a late variety.
This means that the grapes are perfectly ripe and are normally harvested in the second decade of October.
