GRAPE

100% Nerello Mascalase,

VINIFICATION

Alcoholic fermentation at no more than 25°, maceration on the skins for one week 

AGEING 

Aging for 18 months in a third-passage tonneaux and barrique 

TASTING

The color is garnet red with aromas of ripe  black cherry and fig,  a subtle aroma of licorice and sweet tobacco imparted by aging with a hint of flint. The palate is medium body , fresh, with black fruits such as cherry and blackcurrant  and a lingering mineral finish given by the volcanic soil. A medium-bodied wine with silky and ripe tannins.
